Águilas's Beniamin Biraga got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 16th minute Venezuela were awarded a corner. Tomas Illescas went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Venezuela's corner Tomas Illescas fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Americo Herena quite easily take care of the ball. After 17 minutes S. D. Águilas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomas Illescas who took care of the corner kick. Hazar Geçimoğlu thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Americo Herena, a very annoying self made goal in the 17th minute which led to 0-1. In the 20th minute, S. D. Águilas's Christian Lorien dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. 26 minutes into the match, S. D. Águilas's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Americo Herena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saul Txordon in the 28th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Venezuela booed when S. D. Águilas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Raymond didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Americo Herena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Venezuela's Jose Correa managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Domingo Sidro in the 34 minute of the game. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saul Txordon in the 39th minute of the match. In the 45th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. Domingo Sidro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saul Txordon in the 56th minute of the match. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. S. D. Águilas's Americo Herena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save S. D. Águilas from getting a goal against them. Saul Txordon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. S. D. Águilas made a substitution. Timoteo Isauro replaced Christian Lorien. Saul Txordon took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Americo Herena made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The S. D. Águilas fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
