Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Daniel Zorita kicked off to start the match. After 2 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Agustín Saelices. Gregorio Hotz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. The corner led Espirillo FC's Aaron Cutberto to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 13 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Espirillo FC! After 16 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Sancho. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. After 18 played minutes Espirillo FC got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Edwardo. In the 21st minute Gregorio Hotz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Espirillo FC's goalkeeper Jorge Iztal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gregorio Hotz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 40thth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 45 minutes into the match, Espirillo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Jorge Iztal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Iztal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gregorio Hotz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Espirillo FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 54th minute, when Daniel Zorita scored to the left of an out of position Jorge Iztal, making the score, 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Gregorio Hotz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Espirillo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gregorio Hotz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Espirillo FC's Joaquim Fernandes was substituted for Aaron Cutberto. If Gregorio Hotz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gregorio Hotz, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. After 71 played minutes Espirillo FC got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Edwardo. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gregorio Hotz in the 77th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Gregorio Hotz came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 82 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Sancho. If Joaquim Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gregorio Hotz's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. When the match clock showed 91 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Joaquim Fernandes sped through Ecuador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julio Vera. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Fernandes, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Many of Ecuador's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ecuador may have spent more time on the ball, but Espirillo FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
