The tension between the Don Malbec and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 9 played minutes Don Malbec got a freekick which was hit by Black Black. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luis Andino in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emilian Martinez saved Don Malbec from getting behind. Emilian Martinez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 17th minute of the match. After 18 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Zorita. In the 21st minute, Camilo Sexto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Don Malbec fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. With an all-out effort, Don Malbec's Julio Vera threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Camilo Sexto, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Emilian Martinez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ted Lasso hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. The Don Malbec fans' excitement grew in the 41st match minute when Don Malbec's Camilo Sexto looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 46 minutes into the match, Don Malbec's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Emilian Martinez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The wind increased when Camilo Sexto made the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 51 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Camilo Sexto sped through Ecuador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The audience was convinced that Camilo Sexto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Camilo Sexto in the 59th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Emilian Martinez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Emilian Martinez was a little too slow when Cristian Sancho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 68th minute. The score was now 3-3. After a rather tough play, Don Malbec's Elmas Veloz got a free kick in the 71st minute. Emilian Martinez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 73rd minute of play. 75 minutes into the game, Ted Lasso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Don Malbec's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. A collision led to Don Malbec getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Ted Lasso hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emilian Martinez. Emilian Martinez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-4. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Don Malbec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celedonio Aurken didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Daniel Zorita from long distance, 94 minutes into the match, got Emilian Martinez's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Camilo Sexto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
