The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pang Hong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pang Hong in the 15th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alejo Fe was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 25th minute, Juan Sebastián Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tizian Stange received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Dragons XI's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Alejo Fe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dragons XI's Dinu Grecea got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 48th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alejo Fe was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. The Dragons XI players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 1-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dinu Grecea made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pang Hong in the 54th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Pang Hong kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Dragons XI's Alejo Fe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 57th minute of play. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alejo Fe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. After 59 minutes Dragons XI's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alejo Fe firmly grabbed it by the left post. With a little luck, Dragons XI's Alejo Fe got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 78th match minute, Dragons XI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pang Hong to maneuver through the defense. Dragons XI made a substitution. Andrew Müller replaced Renato Leonhard. Pang Hong hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Dragons XI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tizian Stange didn't get a good kick on the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Tizian Stange came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pang Hong, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. With a little luck, Dragons XI's Alejo Fe got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Walter Breda kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. After 93 played minutes Dragons XI got a freekick which was hit by Marc-Dominic Schnurrer. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dinu Grecea, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The Dragons XI fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
