Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. 2 minutes into the game, Horia Chioreanu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Basarab Birișu's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Basarab Birișu helped the player get up and apologised. Lucrețiu Sfetcu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Saelices, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felix Montes hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Basarab Pandurus short, quick shot in the 11thth minute got Julio Vera to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Lucrețiu Sfetcu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Basarab Panduru struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt. FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Lucrețiu Sfetcu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 15th minute of play. When Manuel Tunaru came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Tunaru couldn't finish the play. Lucrețiu Sfetcu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valer Perișoară in the 27th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Agustín Saelices hit a great ball. In the 34th minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lucrețiu Sfetcu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Lucrețiu Sfetcu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 37th minute of play. FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Basarab Panduru got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Juan Sebastián Puig's late challenge caught a FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juan Sebastián Puig helped the player get up and apologised. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Horia Chioreanu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Lucrețiu Sfetcu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucrețiu Sfetcu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 64th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. The supporters of Ecuador booed when FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valer Perișoară didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt made a substitution. Eric Gorcea replaced Valer Perișoară. Lucrețiu Sfetcu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 69th minute. In the 72nd minute Basarab Panduru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Adrian Nasta was substituted for Basarab Panduru. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 80th minute, which Lucrețiu Sfetcu however easily saved by the left post. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 86 minutes into the match, FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's goalkeeper Lucrețiu Sfetcu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. 93 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Lucrețiu Sfetcu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ecuador were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
