Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven Nordkvist in the 17th minute of play. Joel Gaona's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lars Norberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven Nordkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Kaj Hård tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kaj Hård made a kick off. Lars Norberg was out of position in the 56 minute of play, and Joel Gaona capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Joel Gaona really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. After 65 minutes of play, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lars Norberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lautaro Mancebos short, quick shot in the 70thth minute got Lars Norberg to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.
