The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Chile. Fatih Özbay charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fatih Özbay the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Chile booed when 蚂蚁在路上 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fatih Özbay didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thiago Pliego was a little too slow when Fatih Özbay got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 24th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 36th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alonso Suloaga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. Thiago Pliego came out of the goal and Fatih Özbay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alonso Suloaga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. In the 64th minute, Paulo-Henrique Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 66th minute of the match Mariano Lacasa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alonso Suloaga skillfully saved the ball. Alonso Suloaga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 68th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Fatih Özbay made a precise shot to the right of Thiago Pliego.
