The crowd rose to their feet as Arnulfo Marko kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rolando Noboa. That made the score 1-2 in the 44 minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ahmet Nasir Nesefi to make the kick off.
