When Peru's Julian Murillo in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's goalie prevented a goal. Abelardo Janpier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Milagros Fraga, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 11th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Janpier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The throw-in from Enzo Cope in the 18th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Alonso Berganza. Todd Gronow recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julian Murillo scored 0-2 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Abelardo Janpier, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 26 minutes into the match, Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Abelardo Janpier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the game, Enzo Cope threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Alonso Berganza quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Abelardo Janpier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 29th minute of play. The corner ended in Luz Tejedor almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Abelardo Janpier did a great save. When Ildefonso Foro came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ildefonso Foro couldn't finish the play. If Eliseo Mina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abelardo Janpier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julian Murillo took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abelardo Janpier. Abelardo Janpier dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. After 43 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Milagros Fraga. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Todd Gronow to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC defense, Julian Murillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abelardo Janpier. The Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abelardo Janpier should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Todd Gronow in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolando Noboa saved Peru from getting behind. Abelardo Janpier was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Julian Murillo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 63 minute of play. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Abelardo Janpier proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC from getting a goal against them. After 68 minutes of play, Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Todd Gronow made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rolando Noboa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC made a substitution. Gerardo Etxepare replaced Fabio Manuelo. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC made a substitution. Melquiades Lastur replaced Hipolito Nafarroa. In the 72nd minute, Todd Gronow made a precise shot to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-5. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luz Tejedor in the 78th minute. Luz Tejedor made a great header on Peru's corner, it was just that Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Abelardo Janpier managed to reach the ball for a save. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Todd Gronow in the 83rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Gallo in the 86th minute of play forced Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's goalkeeper Abelardo Janpier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's goalkeeper Abelardo Janpier, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rafael Gallo took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abelardo Janpier. Abelardo Janpier dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-6. After having played for 95 minutes, Rafael Gallo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafael Gallo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Peru left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC.
