The supporters of Mexico booed when Estrela Solitária was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Willian Gaúcho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Facundo Cadaval who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Benjamim Dante when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 59th minute, Guilherme Peixoto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 60th minute of play forced Estrela Solitária's goalkeeper Benjamim Dante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
