An unexpectedly hard shot by Finlay Stair in the 25th minute of play forced Pe de Sabão FC's goalkeeper Tiago Monteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 27 played minutes Pe de Sabão FC got a freekick which was hit by Rafa Bueno. Demonde Jacobson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anderson Urbano in the 34th minute of play. 39 minutes into the game, Finlay Stair was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jamaica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pe de Sabão FC the free kick. A collision led to Jamaica getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anderson Urbano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leron Sale during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 73rd match minute, Jamaica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Finlay Stair to maneuver through the defense.
