Victor Vulpăşin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Léo Messis. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anibal Cordeiro in the 16th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute Anibal Cordeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when 최 명 tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Victor Vulpăşin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Silvio Errolan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. After 28 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Léo Messis who took care of the corner kick. Flavio Figueroa kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 37th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Vulpăşin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dale Corre during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 39 played minutes Real Còrdoba FC got a freekick which was hit by Dale Corre. A throw-in in the 40th minute of the game was made by Matias Montes with Silvio Errolan as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Real Còrdoba FC's 최 명. But to his dismay, 최 명 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. 최 명 might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. 최 명 ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Real Còrdoba FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 61 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Léo Messis came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st minute, Léo Messis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Victor Vulpăşin having to make a save. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victor Vulpăşin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Real Còrdoba FC's Matias Montes got a free kick in the 68th minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anibal Cordeiro in the 71st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Real Còrdoba FC's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victor Vulpăşin came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Guillermo Mariano hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Léo Messis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Léo Messis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Victor Vulpăşin made a huge save. A sloppy throw-in by Matias Montes in the 88th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert. 93 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when 최 명 came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 최 명, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Real Còrdoba FC fully deserved thier win.
