In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Léo Messis succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 5-0 in the 45th playminute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers 최 명 in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Real Còrdoba FC fully deserved thier win.
