But to his dismay, Alberto Tafalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. RACIN DE CHAWEN's Marco Pedriza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 20th minute of play. Marco Pedriza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Rufo Serra tried to sneak it across the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rufo Serra. Joel Gaona blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marco Pedriza having to make a save. Marco Pedriza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 29th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, RACIN DE CHAWEN's Marcelino Verdeja sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dante Lacasa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 32 minutes into the match, RACIN DE CHAWEN's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Marco Pedriza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Marco Pedriza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Mexico booed when RACIN DE CHAWEN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelino Verdeja didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Marco Pedriza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lorenzo Cazalla during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Marco Pedriza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 57th minute of play. RACIN DE CHAWEN's Marco Pedriza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save RACIN DE CHAWEN from getting a goal against them. 65 minutes into the game, Erlantz Duran was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. RACIN DE CHAWEN's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexico the free kick. In the 65th minute, Erlantz Duran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marco Pedriza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 66th minute of play. After having played for 68 minutes, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Tafalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marco Pedriza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 71st minute of the match. In the 73rd minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Pedriza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marco Pedriza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. RACIN DE CHAWEN's Marco Pedriza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save RACIN DE CHAWEN from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tafalla got free with Marco Pedriza in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Felix Luque hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. RACIN DE CHAWEN were victorious despite being under pressure from Mexico for much of the match.
