Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Jaime Tabor made the kick off and thus started the match. Le Stade Briochin UC's Lev Yashin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 2nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 5th minute of play forced Le Stade Briochin UC's goalkeeper Lev Yashin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th minute, Agustín Saelices left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Ecuador's Felix Montenegro got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lev Yashin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 15th minute of the match. When Jaime Tabor came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Le Stade Briochin UC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Tabor couldn't finish the play. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Farid Verrecchia in the 22nd minute of play. Jaime Tabor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. In the 31st minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jaime Tabor in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. After having played for 34 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a free kick in the 35th minute. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jaime Tabor in the 36th minute. The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lev Yashin was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Luis Andino hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Tabor in the 44th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Cristian Sancho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lev Yashin. That made the score 0-2 after 52 minutes of play. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dimitri Nedellec, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jaime Tabor's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. In the 73rd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lev Yashin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
