Camilo Gaos's late challenge caught a Frisia AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Camilo Gaos helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Frisia AFC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santos Vigil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santos Vigil having to interfere. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Santos Vigil made a huge save. Venezuela may have spent more time on the ball, but Frisia AFC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
