Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Tomas Illescas started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 7th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Mina to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saul Felo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnoldo Medina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. In the 19th minute Palermo were awarded a corner. Saul Felo went to the cornerflag to take it. Marcelino Chaime made a great header on Palermo's corner, it was just that Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant managed to reach the ball for a save. Santiago Mino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. In the 27th match minute, Palermo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carles Borg to maneuver through the defense. 28 minutes into the game, Venezuela's Patricio Costa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alfredo Joey made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 31st minute of play forced Palermo's goalkeeper Alfredo Joey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnoldo Medina in the 33rd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Joey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcelino Chaime hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfredo Joey read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arnoldo Medina to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Arnoldo Medina managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palermo's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnoldo Medina was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 55th minute, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alfredo Joey. Alfredo Joey yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. After 57 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Mina. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santiago Mino in the 61st minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 64 minutes into the game, Arnoldo Medina cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Arnoldo Medina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Palermo's Santiago Mino. But to his dismay, Santiago Mino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Palermo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelino Chaime didn't get a good kick on the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Isaias Grove in the 77th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Venezuela's Jose Correa. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Alfredo Joey made a huge save. After 80 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. After 81 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. In the 85th minute, Saul Felo made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-2. Ariel Austin hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 93 minutes, the score became 6-2 when Arnoldo Medina sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Palermo walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
