An unexpectedly hard shot by Urbano Herauso in the 7th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ermegildo Rolado. When Patricio Costa came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Costa couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Ferrant was out of position in the 13 minute of play, and Kutalp Tümerkan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kutalp Tümerkan really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 22 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Belgrano's Lorenzo Clementi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Ferrant was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Kutalp Tümerkan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kutalp Tümerkan really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. A collision led to Club Atlético Belgrano getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Elvis Cachero hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Urbano Herauso went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 34th minute of play forced Club Atlético Belgrano's goalkeeper Elano Pimenta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 37th minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Club Atlético Belgrano's Urbano Herauso slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 4-0 after 41 minutes of play. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Elano Pimenta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. The supporters of Club Atlético Belgrano booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salvador Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urbano Herauso in the 56th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Saul Filipo scored 5-0 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tomas Illescass short, quick shot in the 67thth minute got Elano Pimenta to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kutalp Tümerkan, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Venezuela's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomas Illescas in the 78th minute. In the 78th minute, one of Club Atlético Belgrano:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Club Atlético Belgrano. Elano Pimenta had in the 80thth minute some difficulties stopping Tomas Illescas's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Elano Pimenta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Belgrano's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Elano Pimenta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ermegildo Rolado, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Club Atlético Belgrano had won after a very even match.
