Match Report

Ștefan Cel Mare
Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0)
FC Partizan Tirana's Hashim Reçi started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dashamir Januzaj in the 3rd minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dashamir Januzaj, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 6 minutes into the match, FC Partizan Tirana's Harald Strener sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquin Gayoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Camilo Covarrubias fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Uruguay's protests and gave Camilo Covarrubias a yellow card for diving instead. After 7 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Uruguay! The goalkeeper, Joaquin Gayoso, was totally fooled by FC Partizan Tirana's Enerik Berishaj, who 9 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Francisco Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Kıraç Ak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kıraç Ak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. A collision led to FC Partizan Tirana getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Nazmi Naço hit a great ball. In the 25th minute, Harald Strener left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Partizan Tirana fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 29th minute of the match Jaime Cazalla shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kıraç Ak showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to FC Partizan Tirana getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Hashim Reçi hit a great ball. After 32 minutes, Francisco Seco made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. FC Partizan Tirana's Kıraç Ak tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Harald Strener's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Joaquin Gayoso firmly grabbed it by the left post. FC Partizan Tirana's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Enerik Berishaj in the 37th minute. A nice corner shot did that Enerik Berishaj got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Joaquin Gayoso quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Joaquin Gayoso was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hashim Reçi showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 42 minute of play. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hashim Reçi in the 46th minute of play.

After 51 minutes, Nazmi Naço mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Partizan Tirana and the Uruguay players grew even worse after the yellow card. 53 minutes into the match, Maximiliano Escribano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kıraç Ak. FC Partizan Tirana's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maximiliano Escribano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Kıraç Ak made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Maximiliano Escribano sent off a good shot on target. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hashim Reçi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alberto Gisbert's late challenge caught a FC Partizan Tirana's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alberto Gisbert helped the player get up and apologised. Jorge Sainz charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jorge Sainz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Enerik Berishaj shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. 67 minutes into the match, FC Partizan Tirana's Hashim Reçi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquin Gayoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Uruguay booed when FC Partizan Tirana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dashamir Januzaj didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hashim Reçi in the 74th minute of the match. Joaquin Gayoso came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Partizan Tirana's Harald Strener. But to his dismay, Harald Strener quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. 80 minutes into the game, Jaime Cazalla recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kıraç Ak. Jaime Cazalla showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-3. After a defensive mix-up in Uruguay's zone, Hashim Reçi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquin Gayoso came out of the goal and Hashim Reçi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 84 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Hashim Reçi came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Uruguay's Francisco Seco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kıraç Ak narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 87 minutes into the match, Francisco Seco notched a goal, 4-4, to the right of FC Partizan Tirana's Kıraç Ak. Kıraç Ak was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, FC Partizan Tirana's Kıraç Ak got control of the ball when Francisco Seco tried to sneak it across the goal line. 97 minutes into the match, Maximiliano Escribano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kıraç Ak. FC Partizan Tirana's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maximiliano Escribano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-5. Uruguay's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
