Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Venezuela's Tomas Illescas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Godofredo Marin in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Camilo Gaos's late challenge caught a Maravilla's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Camilo Gaos helped the player get up and apologised. Camilo Gaos hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nemanja Vidić in the 10th minute. Cruz Credo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Alex Chicote hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Maravilla's Cruz Credo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 1-0 after 16 minutes of play. When Cruz Credo came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Maravilla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cruz Credo couldn't finish the play. 22 minutes into the game, Cruz Credo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 25 minutes into the match, Maravilla's Cruz Credo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 28 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulus Van Poucke in the 30th minute of play. Roberto Mouzo kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. A nice corner shot did that Paulus Van Poucke got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jonathan Ferrant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Paulus Van Poucke was slow to take the kick. During this time Maravilla's players had a chance to rest. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cruz Credo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Alex Chicote got a free kick in the 51st minute. Cruz Credo took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert got a free kick in the 54th minute. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Maravilla's Cruz Credo. But to his dismay, Cruz Credo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 64th match minute, Maravilla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vasco Gentil to maneuver through the defense. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Facundo Altamirano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cruz Credo in the 71st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Godofredo Marin in the 75th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Maravilla's Godofredo Marin. But to his dismay, Godofredo Marin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cruz Credo in the 78th minute of play. Cruz Credo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Cruz Credo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 92ndth minute of the game Cruz Credo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
