Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) In the 6th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. A collision led to Alvarado de Mar del Plata getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Salvador Salomon hit a great ball. In the 11th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Mincho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Alvarado de Mar del Plata's goalie and right to Luis Andino. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Alvarado de Mar del Plata's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 18th minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iker Mincho was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The corner ended in Enzo Kante almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. Kang Feng struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alvarado de Mar del Plata. When Luis Andino came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Andino couldn't finish the play. After having played for 32 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iker Mincho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haroldo Lorien in the 41st minute of the match. Kang Feng received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julio Vera came out and tried to block the shot, but Kang Feng slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 46th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kang Feng in the 53rd minute of play. Lennie Buckler hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Alvarado de Mar del Plata's Mariano Verón was substituted for Enzo Kante. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Alvarado de Mar del Plata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lennie Buckler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alvarado de Mar del Plata's Iker Mincho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 64th minute of play. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iker Mincho having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Agustín Saelices got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Haroldo Lorien kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. In the 81st minute Salvador Salomon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 81 minutes of play, Alvarado de Mar del Plata's Salvador Salomon made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! Iker Mincho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Saelices, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 89th minute, Ecuador's Luis Andino ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Iker Mincho. Iker Mincho yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 6-2. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Kang Feng stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Kang Feng tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Alvarado de Mar del Plata had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
