When Silverio Calvet fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Faro querandi's protests and gave Silverio Calvet a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd match minute, Faro querandi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silverio Calvet to maneuver through the defense. In the 5th minute, Segundo Salvino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Moises Tafalla hit a great ball. 15 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Silverio Calvet came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lautaro Navarro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Silverio Calvet's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Moises Tafalla during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Moises Tafalla hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Espiga in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roque Gabon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silverio Calvet in the 35th minute of the match. Roque Gabon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. If Luca Espinar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Faro querandi getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Zeledon Garci hit a great ball. In the 43rdth minute of the game Edmundo Espiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Faro querandi's Roque Gabon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 44 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Honduras! In the 47th minute there was a penalty for Faro querandi. Ali Asım Reşat stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Lautaro Navarro. 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sebastian Villa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sebastian Villa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastian Villa got free with Roque Gabon in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 59th minute, Igor Pandilovski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Faro querandi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Roque Gabon made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Sebastian Villa sent off a good shot on target. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Pandilovski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luca Espinar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roque Gabon having to interfere. Sebastian Villa might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roque Gabon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sebastian Villa ran back to his position shaking his head. 72 minutes into the match, Igor Pandilovski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Igor Pandilovski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Faro querandi's Felipe Vedillo was substituted for Ali Asım Reşat. After 82 minutes of play, Faro querandi's Silverio Calvet made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lautaro Navarro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Roque Gabon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Villa, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. 87 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Nahuel Molina came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Igor Pandilovski kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Roque Gabon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moises Tafalla in the 92nd minute of play. Honduras's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
