Roque Gabon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Berganza went, in the 2nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Faro querandi's goalkeeper Roque Gabon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Segundo Salvino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 16th minute of the game Abraham Alguacil made a throw-in which Isidoro Sarmiento played forward. In the 21st minute, Tomas Berganza made a precise shot to the right of Roque Gabon. Faro querandi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. When Tomas Berganza came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Berganza couldn't finish the play. 1-2 became the score in the 32nd minute when Igor Pandilovski elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Nahuel Molina kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silverio Calvet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 42 minutes Panama's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Serafin Eufemio who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Igor Pandilovski managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Roque Gabon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Panama's Abraham Alguacil couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 54th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Faro querandi. Roque Gabon made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Alex Cambeiro sent off a good shot on target. 67 minutes into the match, Faro querandi's goalkeeper Roque Gabon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abraham Alguacil. Roque Gabon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abraham Alguacil in the 70th minute. Nahuel Molina kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Faro querandi's zone, Tomas Berganza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roque Gabon came out of the goal and Tomas Berganza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Abraham Alguacil came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abraham Alguacil couldn't finish the play. Roque Gabon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 81 minutes, Roque Gabon successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Panama's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
