The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 4th minute of play forced Red Reign's goalkeeper Dawid Ratulowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The throw-in from Alonso Berganza in the 7th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Red Reign's Armando Hera. Red Reign's Jeremias Castulo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Moises Gayoso in the 8 minute of the game. 10 minutes into the game, Armando Hera threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Julian Murillo struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Dawid Ratulowski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. Maximo Villamarin scored 1-0 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rolando Noboa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dawid Ratulowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 18 minutes, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julian Murillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Moises Gayoso made in the 24th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Luz Tejedor. 25 minutes into the match, Red Reign's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Dawid Ratulowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peru's Julian Murillo managed to work through Red Reign's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. In the 41st minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dawid Ratulowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Red Reign's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Dawid Ratulowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Despite being the better team, Peru failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
