Damiano Melfi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 26 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Agustín Saelices. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Damiano Melfi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ren Chen Hong kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Sheldon Cooper in the 55th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Sheep United's Isidoro Thomas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sheldon Cooper sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 63rd minute, Isidoro Thomas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Thomas, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sheldon Cooper in the 71st minute of the match. If Isidoro Thomas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Thomas in the 80th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Damiano Melfi in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Damiano Melfi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Sheldon Cooper sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Thomas came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita's late challenge caught a Sheep United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Daniel Zorita helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Daniel Zorita hit a great ball. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
