Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Fulgencio Gartzi got the match started through his kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Fulgencio Gartzi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fulgencio Gartzi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After 7 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alan Moruga. In the 8th minute of the match Alessio Scandella sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz skillfully saved the ball. Fulgencio Gartzi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fulgencio Gartzi in the 12th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Fulgencio Gartzi took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Benito Sanz to make any attempt to save it. Jan-Olof Eliasson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Jan-Olof Eliasson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. After 25 minutes of play, La Gallardeta's Jan-Olof Eliasson made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 28th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseo Noboa to maneuver through the defense. Fulgencio Gartzi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. In the 31st minute, Lautaro Puig got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Abel Carballo's late challenge caught a La Gallardeta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abel Carballo helped the player get up and apologised. Abel Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The La Gallardeta fans' excitement grew in the 51st match minute when La Gallardeta's Fulgencio Gartzi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 54th minute, Jan-Olof Eliasson made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. 57 minutes into the game, La Gallardeta's Fulgencio Gartzi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0. When Fulgencio Gartzi came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the La Gallardeta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fulgencio Gartzi couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Jan-Olof Eliasson managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Gallardeta's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan-Olof Eliasson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 65th minute, Fulgencio Gartzi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The La Gallardeta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 10-0. After a rather tough play, La Gallardeta's Alessio Scandella got a free kick in the 67th minute. Jan-Olof Eliasson scored 11-0 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jan-Olof Eliasson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fulgencio Gartzi in the 84th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 84 minutes into the game, La Gallardeta's Fulgencio Gartzi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 87th match minute, La Gallardeta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinicio Polentzi to maneuver through the defense. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fulgencio Gartzi went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 14-0 was the resulting score. 93 minutes into the game, Fulgencio Gartzi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 15-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. La Gallardeta's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
