Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Normando Palencia in the 19th minute of play. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Laffitte Sanes tried to sneak it across the goal line. When AC Guadalajara's Normando Palencia in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Laffitte Sanes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Cazorla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Tomas Berganza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Juan Cazorla was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laffitte Sanes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laffitte Sanes, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Tomas Berganza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. AC Guadalajara's Jesús Abellan was substituted for Anacleto Pais. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaakoppi Fahlgren in the 85th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laffitte Sanes in the 87th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Normando Palencia in the 93rd minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Normando Palencia in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcos Cotilla prevented the ball from getting in the gole. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. AC Guadalajara fully deserved thier win.
