In the 70th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rosendo Gustau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 72 minutes Distribuidora 25 de mayo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Distribuidora 25 de mayo were victorious despite being under pressure from Ecuador for much of the match.
