Boca Juniors's Jens-Åke Källberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Boca Juniors from getting a goal against them. In the 9th minute, Pál Polyák reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jens-Åke Källberg. The goal made the score 1-1. Cristiano Lage showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torgny Landin, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's Torgny Landin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cristiano Lage narrowly saved just below the crossbar. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 23rd minute, but Jens-Åke Källberg got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Boca Juniors hanging dry this time. Kajetan Paulista made in the 26th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Boca Juniors's Per-Åke Lundberg. The throw-in from Milosz Gierlach in the 29th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Boca Juniors's Niklas Kjellberg. After 30 minutes, Pál Polyák made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Boca Juniors's Jens-Åke Källberg tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 37th minute, Torgny Landin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristiano Lage was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pál Polyák was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind SITIO CITY's goalkeeper Cristiano Lage, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jens-Åke Källberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pál Polyák, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Jon-Arne Klochkovskiy hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Oscar Lindholm did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-3 to the left of a surprised Cristiano Lage 72 minutes into the match. A sloppy throw-in by Münir Salih in the 78th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by SITIO CITY's Rubim Jordão. SITIO CITY's Rubim Jordão quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Münir Salih, made in the 83rd minute of the game. Cristiano Lage made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torgny Landin in the 86th minute of play. In the 94th minute, Carlos Garcia made a precise shot to the right of Jens-Åke Källberg. Boca Juniors's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-4. The Boca Juniors supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Boca Juniors would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
