In the 28th minute, Ryszard Ligas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The goal made the score 1-0. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stasio Wykowski in the 31st minute of play. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Ziemowit Lemiesz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. The supporters of Venezuela booed when ◄19A10►Brunsberga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wieslaw Sitko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ziemowit Lemiesz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Illescas went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Ryszard Ligas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. After 66 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. After having played for 68 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Zygmunt Mleczewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The ◄19A10►Brunsberga fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
