Marco Day made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Ted Lasso sent off a good shot on target. USA's Marco Day proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save USA from getting a goal against them. After 13 minutes of play, USA's Monty Rogers made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ján Oblak was left in no man's land by his defense there! Grzegorz Motowski was slow to take the kick. During this time Wittbach SSA's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Monty Rogers in the 21st minute of play forced Wittbach SSA's goalkeeper Ján Oblak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ján Oblak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monty Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Grzegorz Motowski went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 42nd minute, Jacob May hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ted Lasso in the 43rd minute of play. In the 45th match minute, Wittbach SSA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Szymon Pyrzyce to maneuver through the defense. When Edward Mcdonald came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the USA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edward Mcdonald couldn't finish the play. The Wittbach SSA players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. USA were winning 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cassius Byrne stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
