Cheng Hao Wei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cassius Byrne, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 26th minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cheng Hao Wei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 28 minutes, Aniol Peña managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. JEMBer UTara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aniol Peña was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cheng Hao Wei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Monty Rogers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aniol Peña's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marco Day read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Monty Rogers in the 38th minute of play forced JEMBer UTara's goalkeeper Cheng Hao Wei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes into the match, JEMBer UTara's goal looked a bit too open when Monty Rogers came free, but Cheng Hao Wei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, USA's Edward Mcdonald got a free kick in the 46th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Rafet Nesip made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th match minute, JEMBer UTara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafet Nesip to maneuver through the defense. After 57 played minutes JEMBer UTara got a freekick which was hit by Rolly Salisbury. A hard shot by Cassius Byrne from long distance, 58 minutes into the match, got Cheng Hao Wei's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cassius Byrne got free with Cheng Hao Wei in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rafet Nesip struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Marco Day didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for JEMBer UTara. 69 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Rafet Nesip came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cheng Hao Wei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Rogers in the 73rd minute of play. Marco Day stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rafet Nesip's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. After 79 played minutes JEMBer UTara got a freekick which was hit by Arcan Erakalın. USA made a substitution. Khalid Parry replaced Monty Rogers. In the 80th minute, Arcan Erakalın hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 91 minutes into the match, JEMBer UTara's goalkeeper Cheng Hao Wei had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sam Campbell. When Rolly Salisbury fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored JEMBer UTara's protests and gave Rolly Salisbury a yellow card for diving instead. Rolly Salisbury hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match.
