Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Enio Azevedo made the kick off and thus started the match. When Wágner Travassos fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sosoco FC's protests and gave Wágner Travassos a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Sosoco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wágner Travassos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Diamantino Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Seco in the 16th minute of play. Francisco Seco struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Diamantino Arruda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uruguay. After 19 minutes, Camilo Franco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Uruguay and the Sosoco FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 19th minute, Camilo Franco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st minute Francisco Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diamantino Arruda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Sosoco FC's Edmílson Veloso slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Joaquin Gayoso. That made the score 2-0 after 24 minutes of play. Francisco Seco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Diamantino Arruda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. In the 36th minute, Maximiliano Escribano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Francisco Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Francisco Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diamantino Arruda having to interfere. Maximiliano Escribano's late challenge caught a Sosoco FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maximiliano Escribano helped the player get up and apologised. In the 45th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximiliano Escribano to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Francisco Seco was the one to do the kick off. Francisco Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Diamantino Arruda made a huge save. With his leg Diamantino Arruda managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when Uruguay's Francisco Seco fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Maximiliano Escribano came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Uruguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maximiliano Escribano couldn't finish the play. Sosoco FC's Giuseppe Barreto was substituted for Edmílson Veloso. Francisco Seco's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 60thth minute, Diamantino Arruda skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 62 minutes into the match, Sosoco FC's goalkeeper Diamantino Arruda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maximiliano Escribano. In the 63rd minute of the match Uruguay got a corner. Sosoco FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jaime Cazalla ran over to the corner to take the kick. Maximiliano Escribano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Diamantino Arruda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 69 minutes Sosoco FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jaime Cazalla who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Jaime Cazalla almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sosoco FC's Diamantino Arruda did a great save. Camilo Covarrubias hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. After 71 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Uruguay! Uruguay:s Joaquin Gayoso showed great skill when he stopped Giuseppe Barreto:s penalty. Alberto Gisbert hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Francisco Seco came free with the goalkeeper in the 75th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Diamantino Arruda could save by the left post. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giuseppe Barreto in the 78th minute of play. Francisco Seco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 90 minutes into the game, Geovanni Soeiro threw the ball into play from the sideline. Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After having played for 91 minutes, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Seco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Enio Azevedo took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. 96 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Giuseppe Barreto came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Sosoco FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Uruguay for much of the match.
