Carlitos Parodi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Agustín Saelices hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Camilo Gisbert got a free kick in the 8th minute. 20 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlitos Parodi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 26 minutes into the game, Juan Sebastián Puig was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Acratas Unidos the free kick. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matthias Vall in the 30th minute of play. In the 31stth minute of the game Matthias Vall who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Carlitos Parodi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. A collision led to Acratas Unidos getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Rigoberto Santikurtz hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlitos Parodi was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. 37 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. In the 44th minute of the match Acratas Unidos got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Enrique Theobald ran over to the corner to take the kick. Rigoberto Santikurtz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Margus Paukson in the 47th minute. The Acratas Unidos players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 1-2.

In the 52nd match minute, Acratas Unidos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrique Theobald to maneuver through the defense. 53 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Carlitos Parodi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Matthias Vall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Igor Ospetsu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. After 64 played minutes Acratas Unidos got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Quin. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Margus Paukson, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Carlitos Parodi in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Acratas Unidos fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
