Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The supporters of Merengue FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Domingo Jago in the 10th minute. After having played for 22 minutes, Aquiles Urtsin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Merengue FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aquiles Urtsin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bayan Gugovski came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Venezuela's Tomas Illescas. But to his dismay, Tomas Illescas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bayan Gugovski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Edelmiro Quintyn made in the 31st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Darwin Núñez immediately put the ball in play. The Merengue FC fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when Merengue FC's Aquiles Urtsin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Bayan Gugovski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bayan Gugovski having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aquiles Urtsin made a kick off. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingo Jago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 61st minute. Bayan Gugovski came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Venezuela's Tomas Illescas. But to his dismay, Tomas Illescas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 67 minutes into the game, Merengue FC's Darwin Núñez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Merengue FC's Aquiles Urtsin. But to his dismay, Aquiles Urtsin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Darwin Núñez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquiles Urtsin in the 92nd minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Merengue FC had played much better football throughout.
