Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Túlio Coutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Paulo Torres in the 11th minute of the match. In the 13th minute Eliseo Noboa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramón Vidal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Club Del Gallo's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Puig came free, but Ramón Vidal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Délio Freitas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lautaro Puig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Ramón Vidal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 29 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Efrain Moruga. Club Del Gallo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by André Luís Pena in the 32nd minute. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Délio Freitas sent off a good shot on target. In the 36th minute of the match Club Del Gallo got a corner. Costa Rica's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. André Luís Pena ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Club Del Gallo's Caco Madureira getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Gilson Pernambucano hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Délio Freitas in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Axel Tasis was the one to do the kick off. Ramón Vidal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Axel Tasis in the 53rd minute. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Paulo Torres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Club Del Gallo's Dráuzio Pinheiro got a free kick in the 55th minute. With a little luck, Club Del Gallo's Ramón Vidal got control of the ball when Lautaro Puig tried to sneak it across the goal line. Axel Tasis's late challenge caught a Club Del Gallo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Axel Tasis helped the player get up and apologised. After 62 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Axel Tasis. In the 67th match minute, Club Del Gallo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nando Corrêa to maneuver through the defense. Costa Rica's Axel Tasis shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 69th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ramón Vidal but with some difficulty. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Paulo Torres in the 75th minute of the match. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Túlio Coutinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After 94 minutes of play, Club Del Gallo's Túlio Coutinho made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! There was no doubt that Club Del Gallo were the better team. Club Del Gallo's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
