Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. Merengue FC's Bayan Gugovski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 6th minute of play. In the 7th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Merengue FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Merengue FC's Bayan Gugovski managed to reach the ball for a save. A collision led to Merengue FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Ismael Frances hit a great ball. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Merengue FC's goalkeeper Bayan Gugovski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ismael Frances hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. The corner ended in Ismael Frances almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ismael Frances in the 29th minute of play. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Merengue FC's Aquiles Urtsin in the 30th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Julio Vera was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Ecuador through an amazing save. Merengue FC were awarded a corner in the 31th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Aquiles Urtsin took the corner. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bayan Gugovski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Bayan Gugovski came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 38th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bayan Gugovski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bayan Gugovski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bayan Gugovski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 45th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aquiles Urtsin made a kick off. Bayan Gugovski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 56th minute. 57 minutes had been played when some careless play by Merengue FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Ecuador's Luis Andino getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After having played for 59 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 63rd minute, Primitivo Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 66th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Bayan Gugovski quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 67 minutes into the match, Merengue FC's goalkeeper Bayan Gugovski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Bayan Gugovski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 76th minute. After 79 minutes Merengue FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Merengue FC's Bayan Gugovski did a great save. Bayan Gugovski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 82nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Merengue FC's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bayan Gugovski came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ismael Frances struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Merengue FC. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
