The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Merengue FC's Darwin Núñez. But to his dismay, Darwin Núñez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aquiles Urtsin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th minute, Aquiles Urtsin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darwin Núñez, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Merengue FC's Everardo Nerio was substituted for Raimundo Gonsalvo. Edelmiro Quintyn made in the 68th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Darwin Núñez however managed to control. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Domingo Jago was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0.
