Ubaldo Matildo Fillol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 11th minute of the match. Gustaw Wietrzychowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gustaw Wietrzychowski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 15th minute of play forced The Twins's goalkeeper Ubaldo Matildo Fillol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ubaldo Matildo Fillol read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. In the 19th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. The Twins's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Ecuador's Felix Montes to fire away a dangerous shot which Ubaldo Matildo Fillol despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ubaldo Matildo Fillol narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Godofredo Presebal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rdth minute of the game Gustaw Wietrzychowski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Primitivo Andino got a free kick in the 35th minute. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Gustaw Wietrzychowski sent off a good shot on target. After 39 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sal Chichin who took care of the corner kick. The Twins's Sal Chichin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaw Wietrzychowski in the 40th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gustaw Wietrzychowski in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. In the 45th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Gustaw Wietrzychowski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Ubaldo Matildo Fillol made a huge save. In the 60th match minute, The Twins was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuel Nesor to maneuver through the defense. The Twins's Amirul Tan was substituted for Samuel Nesor. The Twins's Adelino Vieira was substituted for Cipriano Frichoso. Samuel Nesor hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gustaw Wietrzychowski in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ubaldo Matildo Fillol having to interfere. The Twins's Ubaldo Matildo Fillol proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save The Twins from getting a goal against them. Eugenio Olivera hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 78th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ubaldo Matildo Fillol. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. In the 84th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Arias to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 91 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
