After 22 minutes of play, S.e Cadilli's Ferreirinha Heidemann made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! A sloppy throw-in by Norberto Sampaio in the 25th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferreirinha Heidemann in the 30th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waldemar Loureiro in the 31st minute of the match. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Ferreirinha Heidemann took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joshua Secada during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Joshua Secada hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a free kick in the 73rd minute. In the 81st match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. S.e Cadilli's Hudson Moreira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save S.e Cadilli from getting a goal against them. In the 96th minute Ferreirinha Heidemann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The S.e Cadilli fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
