In the 14th minute of the match, Rodriguinho Motta tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marcos Cotilla saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 14 minutes into the match, Rodriguinho Motta notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Panama's Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Abraham Alguacil took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jorginho Munhoz. Jorginho Munhoz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Jorginho Munhoz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 22 minutes into the match, Tomas Berganza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jorginho Munhoz. In the 30th minute, Tomas Berganza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jorginho Munhoz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Jose Carita made in the 35th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Lobo Guará's Gustavo Martins. 37 minutes into the match, Lobo Guará's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Jorginho Munhoz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute, Isidoro Sarmiento ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jorginho Munhoz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jorginho Munhoz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gustavo Martins hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Tomas Berganza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-6 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Berganza made a kick off. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Tomas Berganza took a quick shot and it went in 1-7 without a chance for Jorginho Munhoz to make any attempt to save it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Berganza in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorginho Munhoz saved Lobo Guará from getting behind. When Panama's Tomas Berganza in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lobo Guará's goalie prevented a goal. Lobo Guará's Jorginho Munhoz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Lobo Guará from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Tomas Berganza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jorginho Munhoz was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Alex Cambeiro in the 78thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jorginho Munhoz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.
