Fernando Prassov was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tomas Illescas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 62 minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Anibal Platon notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-4. Venezuela succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Club Deportivo Norte had controlled the match.
