Big Hands showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 8th minute of the match. After having played for 11 minutes, Ramon Pueblo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ramon Pueblo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ramon Pueblo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rolando Noboa having to make a save. In the 13th minute Ramon Pueblo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ramon Pueblo got free with Rolando Noboa in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mauricio Ticho made in the 23rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Cirilo Arlo immediately put the ball in play. 27 minutes into the match, BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Big Hands reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julian Murillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Big Hands having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Julian Murillo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Big Hands was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Ramon Pueblo tried to sneak it across the goal line. BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cirilo Arlo in the 43rd minute. BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB's Cirilo Arlo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rolando Noboa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Rolando Noboa stood somewhat misplaced when Ramon Pueblo came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 47 minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ramon Pueblo made a kick off. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Big Hands read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Big Hands showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 58th minute of the match. Peru's attentive Eliseo Mina managed to snatch the ball when Mauricio Ticho made a throw-in in the 59th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Forsberg in the 61st minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramon Pueblo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 72 minutes of play, BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB's Ramon Pueblo made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rolando Noboa was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Luz Tejedor got free with Big Hands in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cirilo Arlo in the 78th minute of play. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramon Pueblo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ramon Pueblo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Noboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB's Cirilo Arlo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rolando Noboa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 88th minute of the match BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB got a corner. Peru's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cirilo Arlo ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB's Cirilo Arlo to fire away a dangerous shot which Rolando Noboa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 92nd minute of the game Mauricio Ticho made a throw-in which Ramon Pueblo played forward. When BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB's Ramon Pueblo in the 98th minute got a chance for a shot 98th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Peru's goalie prevented a goal. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB were victorious despite being under pressure from Peru for much of the match.
