Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tobiasz Rostow, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 12 minutes into the match, Master Champion BMX Flat's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Nicolae Ceaușescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicolae Ceaușescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 17th minute, Tobiasz Rostow ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Artur Vander tried to sneak it across the goal line. The corner ended in Aarne Mikkola almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. After 32 minutes Master Champion BMX Flat's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Cristian Sancho fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Nicolae Ceaușescu quite easily take care of the ball. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Felix Montenegro sped through Master Champion BMX Flat's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nicolae Ceaușescu. A collision led to Master Champion BMX Flat getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Luiz Paulo Meireles hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tobiasz Rostow was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Daniel Zorita hit a great ball. 65 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Tobiasz Rostow came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th minute of the match Lev Shershun shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Master Champion BMX Flat's Tobiasz Rostow sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nicolae Ceaușescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 72nd minute. Tobiasz Rostow received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Master Champion BMX Flat's goalkeeper Nicolae Ceaușescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 84 minutes had been played when some careless play by Master Champion BMX Flat's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Luis Andino made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Master Champion BMX Flat's Nicolae Ceaușescu managed to reach the ball for a save.
