Drini Kapaj made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 14th minute of play. Drini Kapaj showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After 20 played minutes Mali i Thatë FC got a freekick which was hit by Zihni Dervishi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 22nd minute of play forced Mali i Thatë FC's goalkeeper Drini Kapaj to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Mali i Thatë FC's Drini Kapaj. Drini Kapaj was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The tension between the Mali i Thatë FC and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luftim Hamdiu kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. During the 74th minute of the match Luftim Hamdiu completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Luftim Hamdiu a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Meleq Tare sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mali i Thatë FC made a substitution. Demirel Arbnori replaced Erando Gacaferi. In the 82nd minute there was a penalty for Mali i Thatë FC. Vlash Xhaferri stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Julio Vera. 1-1. In the 85th minute, Felix Montes fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Drini Kapaj, passed just outside the right post. Vlash Xhaferri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. In the 92nd minute Meleq Tare shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ecuador players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
