Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Chicão de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Saelices, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 4 minutes Torino SSA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Felix Montenegro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Chicão de Azevedo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Primitivo Andino got a free kick in the 10th minute. Torino SSA's Chicão de Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 14th minute of play. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute Sílvio Luiz da Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 20 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Noureddine Seret who took care of the corner kick. After a rather tough play, Torino SSA's Jerônimo Guerra got a free kick in the 20th minute. Chicão de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the match, Torino SSA's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Chicão de Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Noureddine Seret received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Noureddine Seret fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sílvio Luiz da Costa to strike the kick off in the second half. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noureddine Seret in the 52nd minute of play. Torino SSA's Chicão de Azevedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Torino SSA from getting a goal against them. In the 56th minute, Daniel Zorita reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Chicão de Azevedo. The goal made the score 0-1. Cristian Sancho who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 59thth minute tested the skills of Chicão de Azevedo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Chicão de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sílvio Luiz da Costa in the 63rd minute of the match. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noureddine Seret in the 66th minute of play. Noureddine Seret took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 70th minute, Camilo Gisbert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sílvio Luiz da Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 80th match minute, Torino SSA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Noureddine Seret to maneuver through the defense. Torino SSA made a substitution. Daniel Zorita's late challenge caught a Torino SSA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Daniel Zorita helped the player get up and apologised. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ecuador players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
