In the 13th minute Fabio Sadurni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 15 in the game by Jonatan Palban from a close distance when the talented Jonathan Ferrant managed to make a qualified save. Venezuela's players were relieved. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. Tomas Illescas made a great header on Venezuela's corner, it was just that NUMBA's Justo Ruy managed to reach the ball for a save. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. Jonatan Palban received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Jonatan Palban slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 43rd minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justo Ruy having to interfere. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. When Tomas Illescas fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Tomas Illescas a yellow card for diving instead. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jarne Decaluwe went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Fabio Sadurni kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Justo Ruy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 77th minute of play. Justo Ruy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justo Ruy having to interfere. After having played for 84 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 87 minutes into the match, Jarne Decaluwe notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of NUMBA booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Mariano didn't get a good kick on the ball. NUMBA's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
