Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Arturo Bondi started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. A nice corner shot did that Alf Håning got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Maximino Acevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maximino Acevedo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 19th minute of play forced Fazendinha's goalkeeper Maximino Acevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximino Acevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Arturo Bondi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ecuador reached it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arturo Bondi in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Maximino Acevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 45th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maximino Acevedo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. Maximino Acevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Guilherme Melo in the 54th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maximino Acevedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximino Acevedo having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Daniel Zorita fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arturo Bondi's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Fazendinha's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alf Håning in the 74th minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Válbson Arce in the 76th minute of play. 77 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alf Håning was slow to take the kick. During this time Fazendinha's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Fazendinha's corner Alf Håning fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. The Fazendinha fans' excitement grew in the 79th match minute when Fazendinha's Luiz Guilherme Melo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Fazendinha's Andrézinho Macedo got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a free kick in the 88th minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristóvão de Barros in the 90th minute of play. A collision led to Fazendinha getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Cristóvão de Barros hit a great ball. In the 95th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gisbert to maneuver through the defense.
