THE MISFITS
Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Venezuela's Tomas Illescas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Pablo Firmo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldomero Urbasa having to interfere. 14 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Clemente Mitxel came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Santhiagos Feli Club's Dionisio Vincent got a free kick in the 16th minute. After 17 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Venegas. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Baldomero Urbasa was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Pablo Firmo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Jonathan Ferrant when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 26 played minutes Santhiagos Feli Club got a freekick which was hit by Dionisio Vincent. Baldomero Urbasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 27th minute of the match. Venezuela were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after Santhiagos Feli Club's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomas Illescas took the corner. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Baldomero Urbasa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Salvador Gisbert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Baldomero Urbasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 30 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Illescas. Tomas Illescas scored 0-1 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Baldomero Urbasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Adolfo Argider made in the 38th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Venezuela's Jose Correa. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Clemente Mitxel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot.

Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Clemente Mitxel went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After 59 minutes of play, Santhiagos Feli Club's Pablo Firmo made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 62nd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joshua Secada to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute, Alejo Niva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 65th minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. Santhiagos Feli Club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 67th minute Alejo Niva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santhiagos Feli Club's Clemente Mitxel got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adolfo Argider's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adolfo Argider helped the player get up and apologised. Adolfo Argider kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Clemente Mitxel took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. In the 81st minute, Clemente Mitxel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Baldomero Urbasa made a huge save. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Santhiagos Feli Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dionisio Vincent didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute Clemente Mitxel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. Santhiagos Feli Club walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
