Flavio Peter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th minute Honduras were awarded a corner. Edmundo Espiga went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Honduras's Luca Espinar getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xerxes Doro in the 15th minute of the match. Flavio Peter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 17th minute of play. Karl-Michael Brask sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Michael Brask, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Moises Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xerxes Doro in the 23rd minute of play. Blagoy Doro charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Blagoy Doro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Blagoy Doro got a free kick in the 24th minute. The supporters of Honduras booed when Batalionul U23 Dorobanti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ionuț Contra didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 28 minutes of play, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Karl-Michael Brask made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lautaro Navarro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Karl-Michael Brask fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Ivan Navarro got a free kick in the 39th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Sebastian Villa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honduras's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastian Villa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flavio Peter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Xerxes Doro in the 51st minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lautaro Navarro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Karl-Michael Brask went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Xerxes Doro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ionuț Contra made in the 60th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Karl-Michael Brask however managed to control. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karl-Michael Brask in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lautaro Navarro saved Honduras from getting behind. The supporters of Honduras booed when Batalionul U23 Dorobanti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ionuț Contra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Flavio Peter proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Batalionul U23 Dorobanti from getting a goal against them.
